Our New Healthy Best Friends!

Wouldn’t it be great to look young and stay healthy just by eating your favorite foods? Sounds like a dream come true, right? Well, researches have proven that some foods actually have the power to keep us healthy and looking young to certain extent. Let’s just have a look two of those ‘healthy friends’.

Oysters

Well, this is for those who like non-veg, ofcourse; this fleshy, chewy seafood is stuffed with health benefits. Oysters are a good source of zinc, perhaps one of the best sources. Zinc helps in preventing night blindness and also in increasing the efficiency of our body’s immune system.

Oysters also contain other minerals such as calcium, iron, magnesium etc. that are vital for a healthy body. Well that’s not all, these chewy chunks are famous for  low fat proteins and are very low cholesterol and calories level and are rich in Vitamin A,B,C and D, (I would like to go on till Z, J) .

Chocolate

Ha! All those sweet toothed chocolate lovers out there; here are some more reasons to love it even better! These yummy bars are not only good for your taste buds but also for your whole body.  Recent studies reveal that dark chocolate has the power to fight cancerous cells and also reduce occurrence of stroke. While serotonin in chocolate works as an antidepressant, caffeine and theobromine acts as stimulants and help in gaining and maintaining a good mood.

Researches have also shown that a small dose of chocolate daily will help reduce the scaliness, roughness and reddening of skin, which is common in UV exposed skin.   And if that’s not enough, dark chocolate are known to be filled with flavanoids that are rich in antioxidants and are found to help reduce aging; and we always wondered why chocolate facials are so popular!!

Now, that we know that these yummy food friends of ours are not only delicious but also can be a strong ammunition in our fight against aging and health hazards, why not add them in our daily diet?

Stay healthy, stay happy!
